Caring with compassion


The Anne Robinson Trust sets an amazing example by ensuring that people and their families can experience a comfortable and peaceful end of life.


At the core of the organisations wor are a the Butterfly Volunteers are who have been trained to provide comfort and companionship to patients and their families during the final days of life. The BBC have recently highlighted the work of the Butterfly Volunteers and the compassionate support they give to patients and families. It includes interviews with volunteers, staff at the hospital, including Chief Nurse Professor Nancy Fontaine, a Patron of the charity, and family members who have benefited from their support.

Who we are

Dying Matters in RUTLAND CIO, Reg. Charity No.1202452 is dedicated to improving end-of-life experiences for  people of all ages, their families and loved ones. It was initiated by Dr Sarah Furness, His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland.
